cessna 172/180hp performance specs.?
I am considering a 172 with a 180hp conversion.
Possibly with a constant speed prop.
Looking for advise and performance numbers.
It should perform very similar to the 172SP that Cessna is now selling. The SP is 180HP. So I would expect that the current performance chart should be near to the conversions.

Air Plains offers a 180HP conversion for 1961-current and has the performance charts posted on its site as well.

If you add a constant speed prop, you will loose some payload but may find that the climb and cruise speed are a knot or two better. The 180HP adds 200lbs of useful load to the basic skyhawk anyway so the loss with constant speed shouldn’t be an issue.
